We were pleasantly surprised by Syracuse (or Siracusa). Everything was great there! We stayed in the hotel, located right on the Piazza Duomo. Great architecture, archaeological sites,folklore events, food…

In the morning, the square belonged just to two of us….

well… and to the cats.

The city likes cats and dogs, and we got adopted by the poppy in the morning, and by the kitten – in afternoon.

Moving rapidly from one place to another. Visited three great sites before our flight to Sardinia: Villa Romana del Casale (the mosaics), Agrigento & Selinunte (the temples between the olive trees and cactus flowers). Speechless…

And finally Sardinia – an absolutely different experience. We spent just 4 nights in Sardinia – 2 in Cagliari

and two in Pula, on the beach.

We like the island, liked the people, and the food!!!

The Sicilian Carousel is over.   The friends went back to the US, back to work, and we arrived to Rome.
